Affinity Truck Center’s Contribution to Duncan Polytechnical High School’s Skills USA Chapter Competition

Affinity Truck Center is pleased to announce its commitment to contributing $10,000 to Duncan Polytechnical High School, with a specific focus on enhancing the Heavy Truck Program. This financial support underscores Affinity’s dedication to education and the cultivation of talent, aligning seamlessly with Duncan Polytechnical High School’s mission to equip graduates with the essential skills and knowledge for success in their future education and chosen careers.

We commend the remarkable efforts of the administrators, teachers, and students at Duncan Polytechnical High School and their unwavering commitment to the Diesel Equipment Technology pathway. Affinity Truck Center’s partnership with the school dates back to 2016. Through this initiative, students engage in hands-on learning, ranging from basic oil changes to complete engine rebuilds, under the guidance of master technicians, providing students with job experience and facilitating educational credits in the Heavy Truck Program.

Affinity Truck Center proudly serves on the Heavy Truck advisory board, contributing to the continuous refinement of the curriculum in alignment with the latest industry regulations and trends. As a result, numerous graduates from the Heavy Truck program have secured employment at Affinity Truck Center, underscoring the tangible impacts of this collaborative educational venture.

Skills USA, a student-led leadership organization, offers invaluable opportunities for students to participate in various competitive events. Duncan Polytechnical High School has consistently demonstrated success in these competitions, with 72 students schoolwide poised to compete in the upcoming Regional Competition.

Our primary objective is to support students in their journey through the Regional and State competitions.
